Boxelder was established in 1989 to make and sell M.C. Escher licensed silk neckties. By dumb luck, the ties were a hit and Boxelder survived. Over the next few years, the necktie lines expanded to include collections based on the work of architects Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Antoni Gaudí. We’ve now added other collections inspired by African Textiles, Gustav Klimt and Northwest Coast Art, among others. All of our tie fabric and 90% of our ties are made in Italy.

The Headcase Collection was launched in April, 2002, after a year and a half in development. We are ecstatic about the attention to detail, quality and value our contractors in California and Korea have achieved.
